Fred Meyer Follies in the Land of the Midnight Sun! %^]
While enjoying the comforts of our gracious Alaskan host, the Timinator(a distant uncle in Alex's huge extended family), we are watching people summit Everest from the Nepalese side...via our 'internets'.
We can only hope that our good fortune allows us to complete a Traverse of Everest's Massif in Spring of 2009. Tibet awaits us. B^)

We've been EXTREMELY busy preparing for Secret Spot Denali...especially Chris and I. This will become very obvious to you if you press the play button at the bottom of this blog entry. %^]

The First Small Batch of Grub acquired at 11pm Alaska time
Mountains of food have been acquired and prepared...and tomorrow will be a day where we get intimate with our vacuum packer. Dawa is now on a first name basis with the staff of both Fred Meyer and Costco. I asked him what he thought of Costco and he said, 'It is very popular!'. Yes...it is.
I think Dawa is the popular one. We are so lucky to be in the presence of such a calm and capable soul.

Dawa tears around Costco

Getting Rid of Wrappers and Such
Our Bolognaise sauce and Voodoo Chili are ready to be uploaded into sealed bags...so that we can download them into our mouths while on the slopes of Mount McKinley.

Mucho Good Sauzzes
Speaking of uploading, the powerful gear that the Satellite Phone Store has been good enough to provide us with will allow YOU to virtually climb with us. We hope to provide daily dispatches...as we make our way up Denali's West Buttress.

Denali's West Buttress
It's not much longer before we receive some few last minutes items from Zulu 9...work the bugs out of our communication devices...and make our way to Talkeetna. Hmmmm...there's a 'Icebreaker' sailing event starting on Friday...with Commodore Timinator at the helm. We might have to stick around Anchorage for that?!
To be blessed with options and smile when challenged is wonderful.
It's just another glorious day in the life of the Team of Secret Spot Seven Summits!
Many thanks go out to all our supportive Sponsors and Friends who help us make these things happen!
I better have a nap...so that I can do some sun salutations in a few hours...%^O zzzzzzzzzzz
Until Soon
