Sweeeet Homer!
I'm warming myself by a nice driftwood fire, in the intertidal zone, that Ethan and I built...on Homer Spit.

Warm Chilin' in Homer
I'm 'tap typing' on the iPac and connecting to the internet by a local and open Wi Fi connection. Que bueno! B^)
Seagulls are squawking...eagles are soaring...taffy is being chewed...wood is burning...and life is sensible.
This is a good way to allow my aching shoulder to heal. The rest of the Secret Spot Denali Team is back at Krista's Kabin...dragging the bottom of the inlet for halibut...and likely enjoying some libations near a roaring beach fire. =^P

A half hour drive from our Kenai Peninsula Secret Spot brought us into this quaint little town of a couple thousand souls. It appears that the tourist season has not quite touched Homer...and that suits me just fine. I'm sure the 4th of July weekend is quite nutty in this hamlet.

Ethan, Hannah, Krista and Phill
It appears that another mountain of food is calling us. We've been making a habit of having dinner at midnight and playing hearts until dawn...with the Timinator!
Dawa is getting the real Alaskan experience...that's fo sho! =^]
It's all good training for scaling Mount McKinley!
