9500ft Bivi on Mount Hood
9500ft Bivi on Mount Hood
19 Jul, 08 - 23:51
Comfortably ensconced in our sleeping bags we are. Nestled behind a man made rock wall...like a pile of puppies...we are under the stars...and truly in the village of warmth! =^)

Sara is Loving Mount Hood
We left the car at around 6000ft and now we are at 9500ft...looking forward to a fine sleep under a just waning full moon. There it sits...blood red in the eastern sky.

9500ft Bivi Site
We'll be up at sunrise on Sunday for a leisurely walk to the summit. It's about 1750 vertical feet above us. That's about half the vertical gain we achieved today...so it should all be lovely.

Melting Snow for Drinks
I'll see if I can get yet another dispatch uploaded before our morning summit stroll...
Until Soon
Phill =^)
