Leaving Mera La...

29 Oct, 08 - 04:19

The sun just came over the peak opposite the valley from us...which is quite spectacular at 17500ft! B^)

The kitchen boys are priming the stoves for breakfast and I'm looking forward to some tea.

The air is so crisp and clean, up here at Mera La, that I could tear a strip off it and enjoy an even more nutritious breakfast by mixing it in with my egg burrito. =^P

We are going to move up to Mera's High Camp(19000ft/5800m) this morning...then look for a spectacular summit window to jump through.

I'm going to take the BGAN and Ipaq up to High Camp...so I'll do a dispatch from there.

I hope you are virtually enjoying climbing in the Himalayas with us via the dispatches at www.secretspoteverest.com and/or my blog!?

If you have not subscribed...you should...right now. I invite you. =^)

Until Soon
Phill =^)
