Everest Circus...part 3
14 Nov, 08 - 03:06
Crazy busy...that's how to describe Namche Bazaar right now. It's all part of the continuing Everest Circus.

A long line of Europeans descend the lateral moraine of the Khumbu glacier from Gorak Shep. They are the main 'attraction' at the Everest Circus.
It's 830am on Friday morn...November 14th, 2008. It's actually 2065 in Nepal, but that's another matter...for another time. Thus is truly a unique country. =^]
Dawa and I are in Namche Bazaar(3440m/11283ft)...still looking for a porter to carry our stuff to Lukla. Dawa found one early this morn...but he ran away about 10 minutes ago. He had to finish his free cup of tea first. =^]
We'll find another one shortly...I hope!?
If all goes according to plan, we'll be in Lukla tonight and flying to Kathmandu tomorrow.
A Yak caravan near Gorak Shep(5183m/17000ft) with Nuptse dominating in the background.
Hopefully I'll see a healthier Budi in Lukla tonight...and be talking to Dana and Caroline on the phone as they lounge in the comfort of their deluxe room at the Kathmandu Guest House.
I'm including some images from the Upper Everest Circus of a few days ago. I'll include some more in future dispatches...as time allows.
I had best stop tap typing...and start tap dancing down the trail. We've got a long walk ahead of us today...B^]

An errant Yaktu(baby male yak) enjoys the sunshine between Pangbouche and Tengbouche as Ama Dablam looks on approvingly.
I hope you are virtually enjoying climbing in the Himalayas with us via the dispatches at www.secretspoteverest.com and/or my blog!?
If you have not subscribed...you should...right now. I invite you. =^)
Until Soon
