Periche was lovely this Fall...B^]

Prakash and Phill make some plans while on top of Kathmandu.

So I'm gorging like a lion at the Kathmandu Guest House...plates of Spaghetti Bolognaise...endless Pepsis...while the bands play on. I'm listening to classics and songs that tug the heart strings. Beautiful. =^)

Prakash and I met yesterday...under a smiling Kathmandu sun...at the top of the city...Chicken Chili...not so silly. Good things are coming up. Adventures including Rhinoceros. B^]

Where were we...

Pheriche...the quiet mountain town.

The Angels of the Shangri-La in Pheriche.

We stayed at the Shangri-La...which is run by angels. It was hard to leave and we stayed for days. I managed to have my 55W solar panel bake in constant day tie sunshine and charge things to the max.

Now that I'm back at a terrestrial connection, I miss using the Class 1, 9201 Hughes BGAN satellite terminal. Eric at the SatellitePhoneStore.com was good enough to provide functioning gear and excellent support. I don't think I'll travel without a satellite communication system again. It's great to be connected AnyWhere...Anytime! B^)

As per usual, Dawa was 'piling the dung onto the fire' in Pheriche. (Hmmmm...that's a good euphemism! =^])
Yarns were spun...Westerners slept...Sherpas talked about Yaks for hours and hours...and happiness pervaded through another Sherpa house.

Dawa piles more dung on the fire.

Kenjoma was a far away place for tomorrow...and was to include a traverse of Tengbouche hill. I couldn't wait to see Everest and Ama Dablam preside over the ancient monastery site!
