Power corrupts...=^]
21 Dec, 08 - 01:50
...and absolute power...wait for it.......means you get to use your electronic devices longer! I've taken liberty with the Lord Acton quote...it is true...actually...I've modernized it. =^]
I just spent the last 8 hours 'working' on my laptop...after a fine dinner at the home of my good friend and incredibly gracious host...Kharel.
Phill, Ram and Kharel enjoy dhal bhat
I've been taking advantage of the power being on...as it's off on a regular basis in Kathmandu. Why is it off?! That's another story...
I'm now tap typing from the Ipaq. Hmmmm...whatz an Ipaq you ask?! I'll dedicate a blog entry to explaining that...and you'll see it, and the other communications devices I use, in Episode 7 of SecretSpot.TV. Chris and I are trying to get that episode cut and out...as soon as we can. That Episode will feature an interview with Eric Talman of the SatellitePhoneStore.com ...so look forward to it!
Macura Manchi and Lakpa discover the Ipaq
Today is a momentous day! The Secret Spot Seven Summits team just grew by two people. If you are subscribed to the blog...or follow along (your really should subscribe!)...you'll see their familiar and smiling faces on the team pages on the web of Secret Spot sites soon!
Welcome Dana Engler and Caroline Ang!
Dana and Caroline before the Tilman Trek 2008 changed their lives...forever.
I'd like to type more...but it's 730am in Kathamndu...and I need to pay attention to the sleep gremlin that is tapping me on the eyelids. Being up all day and night means I'm in heaven...as having to sleep is just a nuisance. Maybe Medtronic can develop a therapy that allows me to never sleep!? Hmmmmm...=^]
Details are still forthcoming on our imminent trip to Dawa's village. I'm planning on building a school in Dawa's village! We've got Dawa's teeth to complete fixing first. Since you are wondering...yes I had my wisdom tooth extracted. I'm not sure what the fuss is all about...as it didn't hurt a bit...and still doesn't. That brings me to the ANSWER to your next question: Nepali dentists are very capable and reasonably priced. I truly felt like I was getting very personal care and attention from the hands of a skilled technician. Awesome.
Night night...=^O zzzzzzzzzzzzz
Until Soon
