Cat Skiing at Island Lake Lodge...March 2003
I remember dragging myself(literally) across the chalet floor every morning...after each day of thousands of vertical feet of thigh deep powder. That was Island Lake Lodge Cat Skiing, British Columbia...March 2003...a month after a nine hour heart surgery. It would take a few months to become powerful again.
I celebrated the 6th anniversary of my Medtronic Freestyle Valve implantation yesterday! =^)
I'm no longer dragging myself anywhere...just propelling myself through the atmosphere with vigour. Joy! B^)
I suppose you can see proof of that via the web of SecretSpot.NET sites. =^]
It's been amazing six years. It's nice to consider that six years is only going to be a small fraction of my life span. Think of the possibilities.
Dawa and I spent a good part of yesterday afternoon discussing some of the processes we are going to put into place with our school building project. Kathmandu is a pretty sensible place to enjoy a good Bordeaux and plan well into the future.
Dawa, the Dell Mini 9 and Phill scheme over another delicious Bordeaux
The lack of electricity in Kathmandu is kind of ridiculous though. Luckily I have the HumanEdgeTech.com HET Power 50!
More about that later...
The demon four day sickness that Dawa and I just enjoyed is pretty much gone...so we can carry on. We'll give you a better idea of what is in store shortly.
This little Dell Mini 9 that Eric at the SatellitePhoneStore.com hooked me up with is a dream. It cold rolls. B^)
My little friend Dita returned from India yesterday...and we treated ourselves to a sizzling pepper steak. Dita like her meat. Vegetarians, Kharel and Kaew, looked on in horror as we devoured the roasted beast.
Sizzling School Projects
Kaew is here from Thailand. She said she felt like she already knew me because she is a Secret Spot Seven Summits blog subscriber. Cool. It's as easy as putting your email address in the subscribe bar...=^]
Kaew is putting together a library for our Sherpa school. That is mighty Thai of her. =^)
Dita is spearheading another school project that will likely see some collaboration with our similar endeavors. It's ALL good. =^)
The next entry you will read will be from Mr. Super Fly Chris Stanko. He's going to tell us about some amazing knives he has hand-crafted for our journey. He'll also further outline how 2009 is looking for the Secret Spot Seven Summits team.
The future is so bright that we have to constantly wear our lovely Oakley sunglasses...B^)
Until Soon
Phill =^)
