The project was conceived by Dawa and I during the latter part of his whirlwind tour of the USA in August 2008. We sat on the roof of the Mosler lofts...on a sunny Seattle Day...and I asked Dawa what I could do for his community. He said, "Make a school".

It sounded like a good idea at the time...and I have a tendency to run with ideas...so it is happening. B^]

In less than two months, I'll be on the shores of Big Lake, Alaska, USA...watching the midnight sun set over 'the High One'. A Denali Traverse will be beckoning us...and we will be answering her with enthusiasm. If you read these dispatches regularly...then you'll soon be climbing North America's highest peak.
