Same Clothes...Different Year

Thursday was an excellent day of activity. We left Dawa's uncle's after a leisurely breakfast and climbed up some paths that were distantly familiar to me. Not much has changed in Shangri La since my visit of July/August 2007...and that is goooooooood. B^)

We left Dawa's uncle's(2400m/7872ft) around noon on Thursday and worked our way through the trees to 3040m/9971ft...and ended up enjoying Dahl Bhat at a Sherpa House next to the Gorakani monastery(incidentally at 2400m/7872ft). I'll upload some images of the monastery later.

This clean air and exercise provide good detoxification from Kathmandu. Indeed! =^]

Marita has a permanent grin on her face...actually...we all do. Most of the folks here have never (ever, ever) seen somebody who looks like her...so there are may curious visitors.

There is a mutual recognition with many folks for me...which is nice. It's probably because I am wearing EXACTLY the same clothes as I was almost two years ago!? I am wearing different underwear though! %^]

I'm currently able to see the site for the SherpaSchool.ORG. We have to descend about 250m/820ft (vertically) to a creek...then go UP about the same distance to reach the site. It's time to get going...so I'll write more later...but you can appreciate some live images right now! B^)

Fortunately, I'm drawing power from the HET Power 50...developed by Tom and HumanEdgeTech.com . I would be powerless without it...in more ways than one. =^]
