Ten Thousand Feet- Tilman Trek Reloaded

19 Oct, 09 - 23:01

We are re-living the Secret Spot Tilman Trek of 2008...with Joy and Pleasure! Join us! B^)

A year ago, I was uploading 'light' images and my musings via Contact 4.0 software (Humanedgetech.com)...and an Ipaq/BGAN satellite terminal combination that the SatellitePhoneStore.com hooked me up with. Since I'm at a speedy cable connection right now, I've uploaded higher quality images...as well as some video.

If you subscribe to this blog (www.phillmichael.com), you can virtually trek through a hidden corner of Nepal with us from now...until mid-November! It's as easy as putting your email address in the subscribe field on the home page of the blog! What are you waiting for?! =^]

If you aren't exhausted by mid-November...you can continue to train your mouse finger(s)...and virtually join us on the Kilimanjaro Freestyle Expedition...as we all ring in the New Year! B^)

Maybe you want to join us in person?!

I invite you! B^)

Dawa drinks in the scene

We're looking down...waaay down...on where we've come from. Just the way it should be. =^)

The Porters find their way

We're at 10000ft
right now...after gaining about 5000 vertical feet (1500 vertical metres) yesterday. It was a sweaty ascent...but worth it. We are now amongst the big oak trees...and back in Sherpa country.

 I'm back in Sherpa Country! B^)

Sunset in Sherpa Country

This morning will see us climb another 1500ft to a pass. Assuming it stays as clear as it is...we are going to have an outrageous view of the Himalayas.

At 10000 feet...and good food at the end of a long day! =^P

I better hit the trail...

Until Soon
Phill =^)
