Purli, Bajee Namgel and Phill at the 11500ft Pass with the BGAN in the background
Well...it took Bajee Namgel and I about 1.25 hours to ascend the last 1500 vertical feet to this Pass. We just sweated our way up the broken Dzo trail from 10000ft to 11500ft. The rest of our crew left the camp about an hour before us...as I was busy making love to the Ipaq and Bgan. =^]
There's a huge stupa here...and the place is lousy with Mani stones. I could easily spend the rest of the day studying these stones...in the same way I like to study wine labels at a wine store.

Table Sized Mani Stones
There is also a 15 year old girl occupying a dark little tea house here. She's all by herself...makes a mean tea...and seems to be perfectly content. Cool. B^)
The Himalayas are obscured by clouds at the moment...but I'll be amongst them soon enough.
I had better send this dispatch and get moving towards the lunch spot. =^p

Cold Cruisin' through goodness
I'm sending these dispatches via a Hughes 9201...which is a class 1 BGAN satellite terminal. It just plain rules...and works flawlessly. Eric at the SatellitePhoneStore.com was good enough to help furnish me with this equipment. Thanx again Eric! =^)

I'll be using it to call into the Loose Cannons in the afternoon PST(Pacific Standard Time) on Friday, October 17. We'll post the exact time here...on Friday morn. Feel free to listen live...and/or subscribe to the SecretSpotEverest blog to get notifications as to what we are up to!
Until Soon
