Loose Cannons at 14,000 Feet! - Tilman Trek Reloaded

Phill Michael making a 3am call via the BGAN in Tangnang, Nepal

Despite the fact that I'm a night owl, it is always a bit of effort to leave my sweet and lucid dreams...and get on the phone. Afternoon radio interviews in North America usually cause me to set an alarm for 3am...when I'm in Nepal!

I roam our Planet with a BGAN satellite phone/modem that is on the Inmarsat system. My Hughes 9201 is a thing of beauty. Eric at the SatellitePhoneStore.com has been good enough to always keep me up-to-date with the latest technologies...and they always work! Thanks Eric! B^)

While we were rolling along through Nepal on our Secret Spot Tilman Trek 2008, I was making regular calls to the Loose Cannons in Los Angeles, California, USA.

One such call was from from Tangnang...while we were in the shadow of Mera Peak. We summited on Mera Peak(6476m/21241ft) five days later...under brilliant conditions.

Click on the play button (below) and/or download the MP3...and listen to an interview from a very, very remote place on Earth. You can also virtually climb Mera Peak with me over the next week or so. There will be newly released images and video. YOU should check it out...I invite you! B^)

Subscribe to this blog, and you can virtually explore exotic places and cultures...from the comfort of the chair you are sitting in. Do it. =^]

Until Soon
