Love on The way to Mera High Camp?! - Tilman Trek Reloaded

Phill and the Panga at a SecretSpotBaja in February 2002
Lucidity gives birth to self reflection...and that reflection stirs the very core of our being.
I've been reading the Log from the Sea of Cortez by John Steinbeck (for the first time)...and I was briefly connected to Michael Fishbach (who is in the Baja) by the Skypulator today. News from there and recent events reminded me that everyTHING is truly impermanent...and how attachment to the material could truly rob us of reaching our potential. I was also reminded of past reflections...moments where I had the prescience to scribble a few words onto my mental notepad:
Mar Cortez
Azure is the colour of her warm breath...
As she breathed over my body.
Then she whispered...
In our solitudes...we find our hearts.

Does introspection cause us to ask ourselves what we are inspired by!? It should. I've always been cheifly inspired and motivated by one thing: Love.
What does 'Love' mean?! Ask yourself in your loudest and most inquisitive inner voice: "What does 'Love' mean to me?!"...if you dare...
I'd like to see some of my more empirically inclined associates try to define 'Love' with a formula. =^]
Imagine thinking one can...

Love is in Everything...Guadalupe's daughter in a SecretSpotBaja in Y2K
I'm happy to inform you that Love is in everything. Knowledge of that can certainly make our world an intensely beautiful place...I assure you. There's a duality in that though...as those 'in the know' can constantly be disappointed by those who DON'T believe that Love IS in everything.

Let's head back up to Mera La today...as I continue to reload the 2008 Secret Spot Tilman Trek. If you hit the play button below...you can have a listen to a track from the music I was absorbing at Mera High Camp...

Phill loving his Oakley technical gear at around 18500ft on Mera Glacier
What an awesome climb from 17500ft to 19000ft. I'm feeling super charged, so it took me less time than I expected.
I'm sitting in the sun, at Mera High Camp (5800m/19000ft), waiting for Caroline and Dana to get up here and join me for some tea! =^p

Phill Michael chillin' with the BGAN at Mera High Camp
More Baduisms are playing and I have a massive grin plastered to my face as I think of other times and a stunning person I've enjoyed this music with. =^)
The sun smiled down upon my bulbous head this morn...and the peaks of Mera stayed relatively free of clouds. Very lovely for us. B^)
We were able to very clearly see a few 8000+m(26000ft+) peaks...namely: Everest, Lhotse and Makalu. Spec-tac-tic-ular!! B^)

The view of Mera Peak from Mera High Camp
I'm rockin' Oakley eyewear and Oakley technical gear. Soooo perfect for this environment! B^)
The pictures say 1000 words...=^]
I hope you are virtually enjoying climbing in the Himalayas with us via the dispatches at www.secretspoteverest.com and/or my blog!?
If you have not subscribed...you should...right now. I invite you. =^)
Until Soon
