We learn the most about people during what appear to be difficult times. That's a fact. As I've mentioned before...communication is everything. Those who refute that should continue to enjoy the darkness...while the rest of us soak up the brilliant sunshine. B^)

We're launching Secret Spot Radio (www.secretspotradio.com) this year. 2010 is the year WE make contact. I could not be more excited about the prospect of that beautiful and perfect arrangement. Hopefully YOU feel the same way?!

I've been fortunate enough to be bringing our journey to you with Contact 5 software from the good people at HumanEdgeTech.com. Contact 5 allows a person like me to bring the rest of the world to YOU...in virtually one click. It just plain rules!

Since I am gliding through an era of nostalgia, I suggest you click on the play button below to listen to an interview I did in March 2008. It does a good job of outlining how the future will eventually look for those of us involved in the Secret Spot Seven Summits project.

I've heard reports, from places above the 49th parallel, of Geese flying in their patented 'V' formations. They are heading north...which tells me that Spring has really and truly sprung in the northern hemisphere. Joy!

Amber Crystals on a cork from a bottle of 2007 Frick Grenache Blanc
As celebratory corks are 'popped'...we might even discover diamonds!! Bill Frick was busy planting traces of amber in his rare elixirs in 2007...and now they are manifesting themselves to a fortunate few. If you enjoy the Facebungling...like I am starting to...you can become a fan of Frick Winery at Facebook.com. You won't be sorry.
Currently, I'm enjoying a 2005 Castillo de Almansa. It's the Spanish version of a Cab Sav...and pairs well with hard boiled eggs that have been squished onto garlic herb bread....topped with fresh ground pepper and thinly sliced tomato. Oh...yes...it...does. =^P

Kharel and Phill at Jamacho, Nepal in March 2009
I've been thinking about Buddhism over the last little while. I wear a couple of amulets around my neck to remind me of the time I became more aware of the Love that surrounds all of us. They also remind me how much love I have for the people who gave them to me. I never take those amulets off...and I probably never will. My good friend, Kharel (a devout Hindu), has been telling me about the atrocities that have been developing in the true birthplace of the Buddha...Lumbini, Nepal. If you are interested...I suggest you use your Google-ator and become enlightened. The more we learn...the more we grow.
Another Hindu friend of mine was asking about my wanderings today. He was curious. The words I published in April 2003: 'Curiosity is a sure sign of vigorous intellect.'...continue to vibrate through my heart.

Physical exploration takes us out of our comfort zones. That's good. If we can't share our explorations with others...then the Ego prevails. That's bad. If we CAN share our musings with others...then we all benefit. If we can share our thoughts with others in real time...then we all benefit...in real time. The Inmarsat system has often allowed me to do just that...and for that I am grateful. B^]

Glenn, Celine (The birthday folks) and Family at Christmas in 2003
It seems that March madness is over?! The birthdays of some folks (and blog subscribers) who are very near and dear to me just transpired. My brain drifts off to almost 20 years ago...a time that can best be re-counted by the original F-Stop himself...the founder of 'Glengernization'.

Super Hot Desert in Spring 2000
I'll never be able to disconnect from the Baja and the Sea of Cortez...in fact...I'm thinking about enjoying her again soon...B^)
Caroline, Dana, Dawa and I were busy sharing our 2008 Secret Spot Tilman Trek with our subscribers in the not-so-distant past. Let's peer into yesteryear for a moment...and consider what it is like to be in an extremely remote part of Nepal...

November 3rd, 2008 - 04:19hrs

The view to the south from Sheerto Pokari
It's cheesy omelets on a Monday morning at Sheerto Pokari ('White Lake' in Nepali).
Sunday was a lovely day of Rest, Sour Cream and Onion Pringles, Scrabble...and Reeeee-charging. We needed it.

The view from Phill's tent at Sheerto Pokari, Nepal
We can see the south face of Nuptse and Lhotse from this camp...and the summit of Everest is just peeking over Lhotse.

The northern view from just above Sheerto Pokari with Mount Everest marked with an 'E'
We've got to hit the trail immediately...as it's another steady day of climbing to 5300m(17500ft). We need to mentally and physically prepare ourselves for tackling the Amphu Lapste Pass on Tuesday. While some of you will be riveted to a screen...watching the US election...we'll be clawing our way up steepish rock to near 20000ft. Joy. B^]

Sheerto Poakri camp at 16500ft/5030m
I'll let you know how our day goes...so please let me know how your day goes...as I'll be very interested...=^]
Of the thousands of you who subscribe to this blog (internationally)...or even those of you who don't....there must be a few of you who have the courage to make a prediction as to who the next president of the USA will be!? Feel free to leave a comment in the blog regarding that...if you have the mental fortitude!? =^]
We normally don't post comments, but in this case...we might post a few. =^]
I hope you are virtually enjoying climbing in the Himalayas with us via the dispatches at www.secretspoteverest.com and/or my blog!?
