Dawa and I were face to face during the wee hours of yesterday. We hadn't seen each other in a while...so huge smiles were plastered on our faces. Things are escalating on all fronts...so we are pleased. B^)
Let's go back to reloading the 2008 Secret Spot Tilman Trek!
I suggest you listen to a good song while checking out this entry. Just click on the play button and/or download. It's a good song to listen to while rolling over the open road on a motorcycle on a rainy day. B^)

Looking back towards Sheerto Pokari
The trek from Sheerto Pokari to our pre-Amphu Laptse La Pass camp was longish and uneventful. There were more breathtaking vistas...massive Himalayan peaks commanding the rich blue sky...pristine glacial lakes...hanging glaciers spilling down 10000ft faces...sharp snow fluted slopes...the usual. B^]

Amphu Lapste Pokari
When we crested a ridge and were treated to a quiet lakeside rest stop, I'm sure my eyes must have started rolling into the back of my head...and my tongue was hanging out. Pure peacefulness during an all natural mountain high. B^]

Overlooking Amphu Laptse Pokari

Alpenglow on Chamlang
Ever-present Everest was winking at me from behind Lhotse...when its summit wasn't being raked by incredibly fierce winds. We were to hear those winds later...but that's for another dispatch! =^]

Dawa at sunset at Amphu Lapste La Camp
We have a near 20000ft pass to negotiate...over seracs and fixed lines. People had been making a habit of dying while traversing the Amphu Laptse La pass...and we weren't planning on counting ourselves amongst that unfortunate population!

The Porters burn their baskets in preparation for the Amphu Laptse La Pass
I hope you are virtually enjoying climbing in Nepal with us via the dispatches at www.secretspoteverest.com and/or my blog!?
