Milestones in May! B^)

Adeline enjoys the company of loved ones at her 90th birthday party!

Today is a another beautiful day!! Adeline Victoria O'Neil (the mother of one of our most dedicated blog subscribers (Colleen Van House)) turns 90 years young!! There was a big party, in Minnesota, in Adeline's honour on Sunday...and I was fortunate enough to attend by video Skype! B^]

As I published in the executive summary at SecretSpotEverest.com  ...a little over four years ago:

'(Consider the) incredible advances that have been made in science and medicine in the name of the improvement of quality of life. The ability to enjoy life with family and friends is beyond measurable value. The ability to pursue one's dreams is true freedom and privilege, a gift to be cherished and held up for the world to see.'

I like to reflect upon what has happened in my own short life...daily! Imagine being able to look back over 90 years...and think about all the steps forward that humankind has experienced since 1920! It boggles the mind...in the perfect way! Imagine being a little girl on the prairies of Alberta in 1930 and trying to peer into the 21st century?!

The tireless work of visionaries who have helped to extend life and improve quality of life...via technologies...can't be thanked enough...but I'm going to do it again anyway. Thank you! =^)

I'm also going to raise another celebratory glass of grape juice in honour of Adeline! May her children's parents continue to live, love and laugh into a shimmering future! *<=^]

Nagarkot Sunrise

Everything changes...but our missions stay the same. Some principles are timeless. They will stay the same...as we march into the 21st Century...and beyond! You think it's a long way off. Wellllll...it's not. Some things never change...and that's a good thing. Flaky, self-serving weirdos need not apply. If you choose, you can continue to live to suffer...while we continue to smile about the bright future that begs us for input and understanding. It's challenging to connect with every person on the Earth. We embrace the challenge with glee...and ease.

We live in challenging times...where a million excuses amount to nothing...and a handful of principles continue to inspire us to be better than we could possibly have hoped. Hmmmmm...that sounds good. B^)
